At first glance, the Stihl Gutter Kit just like any other leaf blower attachment. However, it comes with a few disadvantages.
3 Disadvantages of this Gutter Cleaning Attachment:
First of all, it costs about $10 more than other models. In other words, for virtually the same accessory, you’ll pay about 20% more than Toro or WORX. I’m not sure it’s worth the higher price.
Second, the curved tube at the end does not have a tapered design. Therefore, you don’t get as much air pressure.
For example, the Greenworks gutter kit and Shop Vac gutter cleaning attachment both feature tapered ends that increase air pressure. This feature may help with more stubborn or heavier debris.
Third, the gutter blower attachment has 3 long sections, as compared to 4 or 5 sections on other models. So, you don’t have as much versatility as far as length adjustment.
The Good News:
All that said, you get 10+ feet of length that you can add onto your blower to easily reach your gutters while standing on the ground. Plus, the device appears to provide plenty of blowing power (see video below).
Plus, the extension tube fits Stihl blowers perfectly, with a solid, secure fit. In other words, you don’t have to deal with loose fittings that slip around or that require extra duct tape to stay in place.
